AGM rules for the election of Committee members: - Nominations for office bearers may be made at any time up to the commencement of the election at the meeting, although early advice of nominations in writing to the President or Secretary prior to the AGM will simplify arrangements.
After making the general report the President shall vacate the Chair. An independent committee member shall Chair the AGM until a new President is elected. The new President shall then Chair the remainder of the meeting.
If only one person is nominated for each position, they will automatically be elected to that position. If more than one nominee is put forward for an executive position, or more nominees than positions to be filled for Vice presidents, election will be conducted by secret ballot. All financial playing adults are entitled to one vote and one vote may be cast per family in respect of financial playing minors, but no person present may cast more than one vote. No proxies are permitted by club rules.
Note: Voter registration and Voting will be conducted by a number of WSC (non-committee) scrutineers.
