There are a variety of Softball programs and activities that cater for people starting out in Softball, including.

• Come and try days
• Local association and club clinics  
• School clinics
• Social Softball programs

There are also Softball programs and activities for specific groups in the community:

• For children:
  • Active After School Community program for school children
  • Softball Batter Up program, which is run in schools and Clubs.

    Both these programs assist a child's entry into softball and allow them to develop their skills progressively in a fun environment.

• For adults:
  • Masters competitions at local, State, national and international levels
  • OzPitch, which is a version of slowpitch Softball
  • Corporate Softball.

• For people with a disability:
  • Softball 4 All is a program designed by Softball Australia in consultation with the ASC and SportsCONNECT to increase opportunities for people with a disability to be involved in Softball.

• Softball Australia and Special Olympics Australia (SOA) are working together to develop Softball for people with intellectual disabilities. Softball was one of 12 sports represented at the 2010 SOA National Games in Adelaide. More than 60 athletes participated in the Softball competition.

• For Indigenous people in urban and remote communities:
  • Softball Australia's Indigenous Softball Program (ISP) delivers structured Softball activities in Indigenous communities throughout Australia
  • We work closely with the National Aboriginal Sporting Chance Academy (NASCA) and provide equipment, players and coaches for ARMtours
  • We also support the work of Red Dust in rural and remote indigenous communities.
